Valamar Riviera, Croatia’s leading tourism company and one of the most active investors in tourism and hospitality in Croatia, in 2017 will invest about HRK 500M in the construction of two luxury summer resorts in destination Rabac- Family Life Bellevue Resort 4* which is to become the first TUI Family Life brand In Croatia and Valamar Girandella Resort 4*.

In 2017 the hotels Bellevue and Albona will undergo a total reconstruction and become the 372-room Family Life Bellevue Resort 4*. New investments in swimming pools, restaurants, beaches, entertainment and other amenities in this resort will greatly improve the service quality according to TUI standards. This world's leading tour operator plans to bring in approx. 80,000 guests, thus creating over 400,000 overnights, primarily by creating new air travel markets in Scandinavia and Great Britain.

The project Valamar Girandella Resort 4* includes a concept-based reconstruction of three pavilions, the central building with the restaurant and three villas used as accommodation facilities. One pavilion will be turned into an “adults only” zone with its own pool, pool bar and reception; the other pavilion will undergo a family-concept reconstruction, while the villas will be upgraded into premium accommodation. The third pavilion will undergo a total reconstruction and become a family hotel with swimming pools, following an international family brand concept.  After the reconstruction (starting in 2018) the Valamar Girandella Resort will have 399 accommodation units available. Apart from the unique culinary offer in three theme restaurants located in the resort's central building, a large number of family entertainment amenities will be available, including an entertainment hall, beach club, steak house and the new Maro kids club. The present destination landscape will be greatly improved by the construction of walking paths, bike paths, beaches and parking lots.

Construction work is to start this autumn, the two resorts are planned to be opened with the start of the season 2017. This will reposition Rabac as the leading upscale holiday destination, while the announced projects will create over 300 new job openings in the following year, thus stimulating the economic development of the local community.

The company continues the long tradition of supporting numerous sporting and cultural events, as well as activities addressing environmental preservation and protection of the sea and coast in destination Rabac.

Valamar Riviera's corporate social responsibility is reflected in the active role the company takes in initiating and supporting cultural, culinary, sports and entertainment events, as well as actively participating in the life of the local community.
