Valamar Riviera, Croatia's leading tourism company, received numerous awards yesterday evening during the “Days of Croatian tourism”, the largest meeting of professionals in tourism and hospitality.

The Croatian National Tourist Board and the Croatian Chamber of Economy announced the winners in the following categories: “Destination of the Year”, “Attraction of the Year”, “Tourism Flower-Quality for Croatia“ awarded to businesses in tourism, and “Man-the key to success in tourism“ awarded to the best professionals in this sector. Four Valamar hotels and one camping resort won first-place awards in their categories.

Five Valamar hotels and one campsite were awarded in the “Best Hotel” and “Best Campsite” category. “Best Congress Hotel” went to the Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik 4*+, while “Best 4-Star Hotel” went to Valamar Diamant from Poreč. Valamar had two nominations in the family vacations category- Valamar Isabella Island Resort 4*/5* won first place and Valamar Club Tamaris 4* won third place.

Hotels and resorts were not the only winners- Camping Resort Lanterna 4* was awarded as “Best Large Campsite”, while Valamar Girandella Resort 4*/5* in Rabac received a special recognition as “Hotel Investment of the Year”.

This two-day event held on 25-26 October is organized by the Ministry of Tourism, the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Croatian Chamber of Economy, and this year it attracted more than one thousand participants from Croatia and abroad.

At the “Top 10 of Croatian tourism“ award ceremony held this evening, Valamar Riviera's Camping Resort Lanterna is nominated as “Campsite of the Year“ , while Valamar Isabella Island Resort and Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik are nominated as “Hotel of the Year“. Perfect Experience Creator is nominated as “Innovation of the Year”.
