Valamar Riviera Best Employer in Tourism and 7th Most Desirable Employer Among Croatian Companies

Valamar Riviera ranked 7th among top Croatian employers, going up by 5 positions since last year. Valamar remains the only tourism company on the prestigious list of TOP 20 Croatian employers according to 20,000 people surveyed by MojPosao (Croatian job search website) in 2018 and 2019.

The crucial factors in the survey were harmonious relationships in the workplace, job security and employer’s social responsibility as well as sector leadership, salary and other benefits offered by the employer.
Valamar Riviera is the leading investor in tourism and business development, focusing especially on continually improving working conditions for its employees. Valamar has created 400 new jobs this year and in the 2019 season it will employ over 7,000 people in 34 hotels and resorts and 15 camping resorts along the Adriatic Coast (from Istria and Kvarner to Dubrovnik).

Valamar guarantees a HRK 5,000 – 7,500 minimum net pay for employees working full time during the month, HRK 5,000 net as 13th salary to all permanent employees and those who will be working for at least 10 months in 2019, special rewards between HRK 1,200 and 2,000 for seasonal employees and a HRK 2,000 Christmas pay-out for permanent employees. The company secures quality accommodation and meals for all employees coming to work to Valamar destinations from other parts of Croatia and the region.

As of this year, seasonal employees working in Rabac will be staying in a residence with swimming pool. Valamar has invested over HRK 60 million so far in quality accommodation for employees (Valamar House Staff Residence) in Poreč, Rabac and on Krk Island, with another Valamar House under construction in Dubrovnik.
