The hotels of Croatia’s largest tourism company Valamar Riviera won the world’s most prestigious tourism accolades this year again. Four Valamar hotels at three destinations won the World Travel Awards during the Madeira gala in Portugal where Valamar’s representatives proudly received their awards.

Valamar Riviera Hotel 4* in Poreč confirmed its “best of” status for the 7th consecutive year and won the Croatia’s Leading Boutique Hotel award, while Valamar Collection Girandella Resort 4*/5* in Rabac was awarded for the third consecutive time as Croatia’s Leading Resort. Two important recognitions went to Dubrovnik this year: Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik Hotel 4* was awarded for the sixth consecutive year as Croatia’s Leading Business Hotel, while Valamar Collection Dubrovnik President Hotel 5* was awarded as Croatia’s Leading Hotel.

“When you receive such a prestigious world-class award for the 7th consecutive time, then it really means that you are on the right track. At Valamar, we continually upgrade our service standards and quality because we want our guests to feel great and enjoy a whole range of amenities and services at each of our destinations. However, we wouldn’t be where we are today without our employees – they are the foundation of our company and they are the reason why we keep winning awards like this,” said Marko Miš, GM at Valamar Riviera Hotel. “We are very honored that professionals from around the world have recognized the efforts we make to upgrade the quality of services offered at our destination for the third year in a row. This award motivates us to be even more successful in the future and it actually belongs to the whole Valamar team,” said Karmela Višković, GM at Valamar Collection Girandella Resort. “For the 6th consecutive time, this award confirmed our leading position in the region in the congress tourism segment. Our congress capacities are among the largest in the region, we provide top service level and strive to set high standards for events of all kinds, from small-scale meetings to large congresses and business events. Our efforts have been recognized once more, and we are particularly honored that the recognition comes from the professional world,” said Vlaho Sabljić, GM at Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik after the award ceremony. “Dubrovnik is a world-class holiday destination, and the quality of services at hotels is definitely an important success factor. This prestigious award is an important recognition for our teamwork and our continual investments. It represents our commitment to maintain excellence. We will strive further, and we look forward to a successful future with many more awards to come,” concluded Ivan Sabljić, GM at Valamar Collection Dubrovnik President Hotel.

World Travel Awards celebrates its 26th anniversary – it was established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Hailed as the Oscars of the travel industry by the Wall Street Journal, the awards cover a broad range of categories. Since candidates are voted by travel industry professionals from around the world, it is a great honor to compete for this coveted trophy.
