The first investment phase in the Lavanda Sunny Hotel by Valamar located in a bay near Stari Grad on Hvar island has been successfully completed. Its completion has marked the start of a larger investment cycle in Helios Faros properties in partnership with PBZ Croatia osiguranje OMF and Valamar Riviera. The next phase is scheduled for this autumn, whereby the investment in hotel Lavanda and its capacity of 179 accommodation units will amount to a total of HRK 43 million. This investment will contribute to repositioning the destination towards higher added value services and will further the development of tourism on the island of Hvar.

This summer season, Lavanda Sunny Hotel by Valamar welcomed its guests with modernized rooms, lobby, kitchen and restaurant, a new IT structure and highly improved service quality. Valamar also introduced its comprehensive program of health, safety and environmental standards, V Health&Safety, and implemented the HACCP system and digital property management system. After renovations, the former Lavanda Hotel became part of the Sunny by Valamar brand which is ideal for guests who seek a simple holiday by the sea in beautiful locations. The guests were especially delighted by the hotel's design and the new restaurant and bar concept with extended breakfast time and all-day a la carte offer. Particular attention was given to holiday lifestyle elements, including top-quality mattresses that provide guests with extra comfort and top-quality sleep. The Lavanda Sunny Hotel by Valamar opened on July 15 and immediately recorded high occupancy.

During June and July, Valamar gradually opened 21 hotels and resorts and all 15 camps in eight destinations along the Adriatic coast. Currently there are over 30,000 guests staying in Valamar properties which is a considerable success given the challenges tourism still faces globally.
