Dubrovnik gets a unique tourist product
Last week, Dubrovnik got a new, attractive location where guests can enjoy the sun and clear seas – beach Kava located on Babin Kuk in Dubrovnik. After several months of intense work, we are proud to share this unique Kava beach concept, never seen before in Dubrovnik, with all our citizens and guests.
Master plan of Babin Kuk, brought forth by the City of Dubrovnik in April 2009 didn't prescribe the reconstruction of the Kava beach for nothing, it was high time for this location, which was devastated at the beginning of last century, to be restored and given a new lease on life. Kava location was created at the beginning of the last century, when stones were dug out for the construction of buildings in Gruž and for a whole century nature took care of it by partially covering all open rocks facing the sea with shrubs and greenery.
What mother nature was unable to fix, investor – Valamar Riviera did, by respecting all urban rules and regulations, acquiring all necessary permits and by performing all necessary construction works with the care of an ecologically aware investor. All beach protection works were performed using only natural materials (stone, wood, greenery, etc.) in order for this part of Dubrovnik to serve its citizens and guests at the highest level possible.
Coral Beach Club is now open on the beach and it is equipped with everything visitors require for a carefree day on the beach including a spacious bar with a rich offer of food and beverages, sanitary facilities, changing rooms, sunbeds, parasols and showers. In the evening, this object turns into an intimate and magical ambiance ideal for a night of relaxation with cocktails and carefully selected gastro delicacies as well as all predispositions for great events such as concerts, gala evenings, cocktail parties, weddings etc.
Kava Beach with the newly open Coral Beach Club continues to operate in the organisation of our partners, the Feller family that have a vast experience in managing similar locations across Europe. Our intention is to jointly raise the quality of tourist products on our beaches because our citizens and guests deserve it.
We would like to point out that we had immense support from the Dubrovnik Neretva County and the City of Dubrovnik in the realisation of this project in order to raise the all out quality of tourism in both the City and the County, and we are very certain it will be recognised by the global market.
