The first Kinderhotel in Valamar Riviera’s portfolio was opened this season as part of Valamar Collection Girandella Resort in Rabac: Valamar Girandella Maro Suites 5* is located next to a long pebbly beach and with its design, amenities and services it suits the needs of families with children of various ages.
“Valamar Girandella Maro Suites 5* is a valuable addition to the numerous features that Rabac can offer to its visitors. There are 50 hotels of this kind in Europe with this one being the third in Croatia. With this, we completed the investment in two Valamar resorts in Rabac– Valamar Collection Girandella Resort 4*/5* and TUI Family Life Bellevue Resort 4*, worth as much as HRK 635 million and representing the largest investment in Croatia’s tourism. With this hotel we created 150 new jobs in destination Rabac”, said Sandi Sinožić, general manager of destination Rabac at Valamar Rivera.
The spacious 149 family suites are also equipped with accessories for children and their safety – a toy box, electrical socket covers, bathroom stools, children’s toilet seats, baby phones and children’s TV channels. Baby cots and PlayStations are also available on request, as well as a baby set that includes a bathtub, thermometer, diapers, bottle heater and changing pad. The hotel offers a children’s buffet in the restaurant and a play lounge featuring an indoor playground, warm and soft beverages available 24 hours a day and offers afternoon snacks such as salads, soups and cakes.

Children especially like the attractive and fun Aqua Maro complex featuring a baby pool and heated pool, as well as an outdoor pool with activities and attractions such as water effects and slides for all age groups. The youngest will have a fun time in the Maro clubs designed to fit the needs of different age groups, while teenagers will take a break from their parents in the hangout area designed exclusively for them. Families love the Sundance family beach featuring a beach bar, extra-comfortable sun loungers and numerous fun activities such as banana boats, water skiing and parasailing. The Maro family beach is ideal for the youngest children and their first attempts at swimming, and it also features a special attraction: the Witbit inflatable waterpark with a fun wipeout obstacle course. The Sunrise relax beach will attract all those who prefer relaxing on sun loungers or at the beach bar while sipping their favourite cocktail, and so will the Canerolo V level family beach near Valamar Girandella V Level Villas.
The prestigious hotel chain KinderHotels Europa, the leading European hotel group specialized in family holidays, has already reviewed this hotel with five smileys that stand for a top rating.
Valamar has invested a total of more than HRK 4 billion in its portfolio, with HRK 1.6 billion invested in the last two years only. This year’s investment cycle was worth around HRK 700 million and the company continues repositioning the portfolio towards products and services that have a high added value. Valamar’s supervisory board granted prior approval for investments and projects worth HRK 616.5 million in 2019, thus carrying on with the large investment cycle.
