As many as 11 Valamar premium campsites received a recognition given to the best Croatian campsites – Croatia's Best Campsites 2019. This title was conferred by the Croatian Camping Association (KUH) during the 12th Croatian Camping Congress. The awarded campsites that confirmed their outstanding quality of accommodation, facilities and services were Krk, Lanterna, Ježevac, Marina, Bunculuka, Zablaće, San Marino, Padova, Orsera, Solaris and Istra.

Valamar’s premium campsites - Krk Premium Camping Resort, Lanterna Premium Camping Resort and Ježevac Premium Camping Resort - also received great ratings based on the votes of 40,000 Slovenian campers that holidayed on the Adriatic coast this year. Thus, they were included in the selection of best campsites at the Congress that are traditionally awarded by the Slovenian camping website www.avtokampi.si and Adria, a Slovenian manufacturer of mobile homes and glamping tents.

Krk Premium Camping Resort won first place as Croatian campsite with best mobile homes, and Slovenian campers praised not only accommodation quality but also the quality and range of pools, water attractions, the spa and great entertainment program for children and adults. Lanterna Premium Camping Resort won second place as best large campsite in Istria: besides some features that have already been awarded, Slovenian campers loved the latest features such as the family- friendly and kid-themed Maro Premium Village and the extensive entertainment program for the youngest. Ježevac Premium Camping Resort on Krk island won third place as best Kvarner large campsite: this tourist season it featured a brand-new pool complex, water park and water attractions for children and Slovenian visitors did not fail to recognize the improvements.

The Croatian Camping congress was held on 12-14 November in Terme Tuhelj, and besides awarding the best campsites it also included numerous interesting presentations, panels and a roundtable discussion called “Development Trends in (Croatian) Camping” that was moderated by Josipa Cvelić Bonifačić, Head of Service Quality at Valamar.
