Camping Lanterna and Camping Krk are members of an elite group consisting of the 40 best camps in Europe within the framework of the respected European association Leading Campings of Europe, and this year they will each obtain an additional star, so that Camping Krk will proudly bear a 5-star rating, while Camping Lanterna in Poreč will have a 4-star rating,” announced Davor Brenko, Valamar Riviera’s Vice President in Charge of Marketing and Sales.

Camping Lanterna is the leading Istrian campsite, near the historic town of Novigrad and Poreč, situated on the Lanterna Peninsula near Tar. In the 2016 season, this campsite will be raised to the 4-star category, and acquire a new family water park with slides and attractions for children (a total of 1,350 m² of new water surfaces: a new children’s pool, 4 renovated pools with new slides and a pirate ship as the main attractions), a new sand beach with beach bar, the new Mediterranean Garden Premium Village (50 new fully equipped, spacious mobile homes, situated in a Mediterranean garden, near the new water park), the “Marine Village” (a themed settlement arranged in a sailor’s style with 69 new fully equipped mobile homes, near the new water park), 7 new glamping tents, improved plots and a renovated main pool next to the seashore.

Camping Krk is a unique eco-friendly family camping resort situated opposite the town of Krk, which is notable for its heated swimming pool and wellness oasis which offers  relaxation in a sauna, as well as a wealth of amenities for families with children, including the Maro Mini and Midi Clubs for small children, as well as the Teens Club and Hobby Club. During the 2016 season, this campsite will be the first on the Adriatic coast in Croatia with a 5-star rating, and it will acquire the new Bella Vista Premium Village (63 new fully equipped mobile cottages situated in the section of the campsite with the most spectacular view of the sea and in auto-free zone; the Bella Vista Premium Village includes a new pool with a sun-bathing area, a spacious promenade with entertainment amenities, as well as the children’s pool and playground in the vicinity), a new central square in the campsite with shops, a bakery, green market, restaurant and event hall, a new water playground for children with slides and other attractions, and additional improvements (horticultural landscaping of the campsite, etc.).
