Next week the Lanterna campsite will receive the INOVACAMP 2016 recognition for its innovative glamping concept while KRK will be presented with the INOVACAMP 2016 for its innovative concept of providing high-quality personalized service. The Croatian Camping Union will confer both recognitions during its 10^th Croatian Camping Congress.

From this year on, Lanterna is a 4* campsite and deserves to be called the leading Istrian campsite. It now boasts a new family water park with slides and attractions for children with a total of 1,350 m² of new water surfaces: a new children’s pool, 4 renovated pools with new slides and a pirate ship and a new sand beach featuring the Beat beach bar. The nearby new Mediterranean Garden Premium Village offers 50 new fully equipped, spacious mobile homes while the Marine Premium Village, a nautical-themed settlement, offers 69 new fully equipped mobile homes. Besides, 7 new glamping 35m2 tents have been added, the plots have been improved and the main pool next to the seashore renovated. Lanterna is divided into several distinct zones located along the 3-km long coast, giving an impression of more campsites in one, while at the same time it feels safe and private.

 Valamar’s   Krk is the first 5* campsite on the Adriatic. It is a unique eco-friendly family camping resort situated near the town of Krk and it can welcome 1300 guests and this year it offers numerous new facilities and amenities on an 11-acre surface: glamping tents, a new water playground for children with slides, a new central square with shops, a bakery and many more features. The new Bella Vista Premium Village is definitely worth singling out: it offers 63 new fully equipped mobile cottages situated in the section offering the most spectacular views of the sea in a car-free zone. It also includes its own pool with sunbathing area, a spacious promenade with entertainment amenities, with the children’s pool and playground in the vicinity. It is the only campsite in Croatia with its own small spa center, and one of the few where occupancy does not depend on weather conditions, which means a lot to our guests and is useful for extending the tourist season. There is a number of activities, which are not affected by drops in temperatures or rain, such as diving courses, bike tours, sheltered animation points, relaxation and beauty treatments in the spa zone. Energy efficiency and sustainable development have been take into consideration when planning the landscape: over 300 olive trees have been planted along with the implementation of unique systems for waste water purification and grey water horticultural irrigation, solar panels, heating pumps, a developed waste separation system, electric vehicles for moving around the campsite and e-bike charging stations. The Blue flag is proof of seawater quality.

Lanterna and  Krk received the Best Camping 2016 Award conferred by the largest German and Dutch auto-clubs: ADAC and ANWB. Both campsites are among the prestigious top 40 campsites in Europe, members of the renowned association Leading Campings of Europe.
