Poreč has gained a new star of the Istrian gourmet scene with the opening of Harry’s Piccolo Poreč, a fine dining restaurant within Valamar’s Pical Resort 5*. This restaurant brings to Istria the distinctive concept and culinary vision of chefs Matteo Metullio and Davide De Pra, whose restaurant in Trieste holds two Michelin stars.
The restaurant combines the flavors of Croatia, Italy, and Slovenia, reinterpreting local traditions through contemporary, precise, and authentic cuisine. Its inspiration comes from the former Parenzana railway, which once connected Trieste, Poreč, and Slovenia, and today serves as a symbol of the region’s cultural connection. Each plate represents a dialogue between cultures, with a focus on quality and balance of flavors
The restaurant’s chef, Goran Hrastovčak, a prominent figure in Poreč’s gourmet scene, is responsible for the daily management of the kitchen, while chefs Metullio and De Pra serve as the project’s creative directors. Their collaboration combines international experience, respect for local ingredients, and an innovative approach to cuisine, offering guests a unique experience through seasonal tasting menus, refined wine pairings, and signature cocktails.
