According to the published results for the first three quarters and the outlook for 2025, Valamar is set to achieve its key strategic goals and further strengthen its leading position in Croatian tourism.
This year, Valamar expects to generate between €457 and €461 million in business revenues, representing an annual growth of 9.6% to 10.5%, and an increase in operating profit of 6.1% to 8.6%, reaching a level of €128 to €131 million. Growth in 2025 was driven by stable demand from key source markets, strong performance in the premium segment, successful consolidation of the Austrian portfolio, and positive effects from previous investment cycles.
In the first nine months, Valamar recorded 6.2 million overnight stays, a 3.7% increase compared to the previous year, primarily due to strengthened business in the pre- and post-season periods. All Valamar Group destinations achieved strong results, with Rab standing out thanks to the successful opening of Arba Resort 4*, part of the Valamar Collection brand, which achieved 33% growth and positioned itself among the leading family holiday destinations. These results contributed to an increase in share value and a dividend yield of 4.6% for shareholders—above the targeted 4% annual return.
During the 2025 peak season, Valamar employed nearly 8,700 staff members, 73% of whom are local. Continuous investment in people and work quality is reflected in salaries about 18% higher than the tourism sector average and in Valamar’s long-standing position as the top employer in tourism and hospitality.
Construction work on the Pical Hotel, the largest tourism project in Croatia, is entering its final phase and progressing according to plan, with the opening scheduled for spring 2026. This €200+ million investment marks a major step in transforming Poreč and Istria toward a model of year-round, sustainable, high-quality tourism. Alongside the luxury resort, the project includes the development of new public tourism infrastructure, enhancing the overall destination quality. Pical Resort 5* will become the flagship of the Valamar portfolio and a new symbol of luxury vacations in Croatia, developed in collaboration with world-renowned partners while upholding the highest standards of sustainability, design, and service.
At the end of 2025, Valamar will further enrich what Poreč has to offer by opening the boutique Hotel Jadran, a completely renovated property featuring 12 exclusive designer rooms, which will also host Bistro JAZ by Ana Roš, the acclaimed chef and holder of three Michelin stars.
Valamar has once again confirmed its position as a leader in sustainable tourism in Croatia. In June this year, Valamar was awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal, the leading international sustainability rating, placing it among the top 5% of the world’s highest-rated companies. According to a Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) study, Valamar ranked first in the tourism sector with a “very high ESG rating.”
