In the annual selection done by the Zagreb Stock Exchange, Valamar Riviera d.d. has won awards in two categories: for the fourth time it was proclaimed Share of the Year as chosen by the public, and for the first time it was declared the Share with the Highest Increase in Turnover. The Zagreb Stock Exchange awards are conferred with the aim of supporting the best and enhancing the recognisability of the capital market and its active participants among the financial and general public. The award ceremony was held in Zagreb today.
“I am pleased that we can once more convey our congratulations to Valamar Riviera, a company which has been the laureate in the public’s choice Share of the Year category since the beginning of Zagreb Stock Exchange Awards in 2012.
The tourism sector is truly the driver of the Croatian economy, which is indeed shown by this award as well, but also by the fact that out of all of the Zagreb Stock Exchange’s indices, it is CROBEXturist which has recorded the highest growth in the first eleven months of this year, almost +19%”, stressed Ivana Gažić, the CEO of the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
The awards were accepted on behalf of Valamar Riviera by Marko Čižmek, a member of its Management Board, and Filip Močibob, its manager of Investor Relations.

The ZSE Award Committee made the decision to grant the award on the basis of objective, statistical criteria, but also by considering the overall contribution to the education and development of the domestic capital market with reference to the share with the highest turnover, the highest price growth, the highest growth in trading and the public’s choice for share of the year. Awards are also conferred to the Member of the Year and for exceptional contributions to the development of the capital market, as well as the ZSE Academy Award for exceptional contributions to education on the capital market. The Share of the Year is selected by the public through online voting on the Zagreb Stock Exchange website.
